Tommaso LePera, a photographer for ever, begins his activity in the world of entertainment
Photographing those who rock the footstool of Folkstudio, the mythical local of Via Garibaldi in Rome, a forge and launch pad for artists of various genres. Then, after a brief incursion into cinema and television, he devoted himself entirely to theater, his true passion.
Using photographs during the show, without interrupting the natural course of the play, develops dynamic and moving photography.
It is also the period of the so-called "Theatrical Avaguardia" and its images are perfectly adhering to that kind of theater out of the canons. But soon they also see him in the official theater, so he takes care of the performances of Eduardo and Peppino De Filippo, Romolo Valli and Giorgio de Lullo, Gassman, Albertazzi, Moriconi, Gianrico Tedeschi, Scaccia, Lavia, Mariangela Melato, Eros Pagni. In short all the great Italian theater without neglecting the smaller companies and the young talents.
For forty years of work, he has about 4000 shows photographed by creating a unique archive of its kind.
